Mail Art Call 2013: a CHRISTMAS postcard

Christmas is time of joy, rejoicing, greetings, gifts and holiday songs. It´s time of hugs, good wishes, meetings, forgiveness and promises. It´s time to generously share our spiritual and material goods, a time of worship and thanksgiving.

Information:

Subject: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Season’s Greetings, etc.

Small format (10x15cm). Free technique. Send by airmail. Do NOT use ENVELOPE (must have postmark)

Deadline: December 25th, 2013.

The postcard will be published on this blog ( http://igakuseimailart.wordpress.com ), making reference to the author.

Offensive material will not be published. No returns. Documentation will be sent to participants.

Hopelijk beantwoord ik dit op de juiste wijze, is nog wat zoeken hier!

Er was niks Groots aan de Groote oorlog (zo word hij toch beschreven met dubbele oo ?) nee ook wij vinder der niks groots aan maar grijpen de kans om hem en de vele andere niet te vergeten met dit PostkaART project.

Je vind ook de naam WAR PostArt niks? tja het kind moet een naam hebben natuurlijk, de aanleiding is oorlog, we vragen aan Kunstenaars om een postkaart met de post op te te sturen.

Toch hopen we op een actieve bijdrage van je!

Mooie bijdrage van je op 11/11.

nee hoor opmerkingen zijn welkom, we hebben ondertussen 4.000 uitnodigingspostkaarten laten drukken dus daar zullen we het mee moeten doen ;)

Nooit meer oorlog, zelfs oorlog aan oorlog tja da’s een serieuze paradox!!

Ik wil hier geen mail discussie opstarten, daarvoor moeten we eens afspreken tussen pot & pint dit om mogelijke misverstanden te vermijden.

Wij hebben de 100 jarige herdenking aangegrepen om dit project op te starten, meer nog de datum van de vrede 11/11/2018 is het eigenlijke einddoel. Rode poppy’s staan voor ons ter herdenking van de onzinnig gesneuvelde en zeker niet ter promotie van één of ander geweldsconflict! Elke Kunstenaar is vrij in zijn keuze om de postkaart in te vullen moet dan ook niks te maken hebben met oorlog da’s alleen de aanleiding.

Tja is ’t toch nog een beetje een discussie geworden, maar voor die pint spreken we zeker nog af!

Het idee is een verstuurde postkaart, maar laat een Kunstenaar zich beperken? Probleem zou kunnen zijn is de enveloppe dan nog verstuurbaar met de post?

Als ik aan oorlog denk komt me telkens de film “johnny Got his gun” voor ogen, niet dat ik dit een goeie film vind maar het verschrikkelijke verhaal is het wel! Metalica heeft dit met het nummer “one” goed in beeld gebracht (als je van iets luidere muziek houd).

Een nieuwe Belgische Vrijdenkerskring? Benieuwd!

Ik kijk er naar uit, de kaart (in omslag) ziet er prachtig uit!

Ondertussen nog een beetje mijn weg aan ’t zoeken op de site, maar wel al aan een paar oproepen gehoor gegeven. Ondanks de verbouwingswerken aan de zolder waardoor al mijne rommel (zoals mijn Mireille toch zegt) in verhuisdozen zit.
