Earthling, this is the last but certainly not the least welcome message to IUOMA you receive. I’m a celestial mail artist living in a heavenly corner of the faraway universe called Republik van Patland. When you joined IUOMA on October 10 I was unable to welcome you on board.  At the time I was in a Celestial Journey far beyond the Milky Way. Now, back to planet Earth, I´d love to be the other end when you decide it’s the right time to start trading snail mail art. If this is the case at the time your envelope should read as follows:

    The Celestial Scribe

    Terrene Embassy

    Republik van Patland

    Caixa Postal 24827

    Curitiba-PR

    80510-970

    Brazil

I look forward to see a piece of yours in our terrene mailbox. I will do my homework after receiving yours. This is nothing less than a Celestial Promise. I’m Patricio, Celestial Scribe & Republik van Patland Official Envelope Provider.

Welcome. Could you personal message me your address, so I can send you something?

Hey Polly! Thanks for the friendship! Did you join on the 17th? (The day after my b-day -auspicious...)

Working on a little packet for you - hope to finish before I leave for Pittsburgh next week...

I buy a lot of my washi on Etsy. I'm very into collecting the (too expensive!) limited editions, and only one shop I've found carries them. This woman is named Karen, and I found her on Etsy, but the items in her store are a tad less expensive. She's very, very nice, and I go there more than anywhere to buy.

She's in Tokyo. In the US try

    and

No one sells samples generally, but I have seen a few folks who do on Etsy and on Ebay. Look around...! The non limited rolls are generally $2-4, so not very expensive anyway, and they last forever! But watch out, it's an exceedingly addictive habit!

btw, have you seen our page here?:
