Thanks for the blog post!  And for the friendship request! (I had no idea we hadn't clicked that button yet!!)  Plz--don't ever feel pressure about mail art EVER.  Art takes its own time.  Beside which if you've been working on that thing all this time I'll be shaking at its epic-ness when it comes to Seattle.  Cheers!  The cherry blossoms are out here.

Dean, did you watercolor as well as glue on this latest mail art that arrived yesterday? In any case it is peaceful and beautiful, and I love it. Thank you.

So I looked in my mail box, and saw something that looked "Dean like." When I saw the stamps I thought to myself, "these are American, this couldn't be from Dean." And then it hit me, "Dean is in America!" So that's you know, Dean Marks the honorary mail-art American. Enjoy your trip.

Dean, thanks for the book-postcard; I'm at a loss for words [if only I had a dictionary, hey  . . .]. Made in the air and mailed from here in California none-the-less [postmarked; Oakland, CA]. This one was almost a lost-in-the-mail mail-art piece, the address label was literally placed on top of the card when I opened my mail box, and fell off as I pulled it forward out of the box. Whew, that was a close one.

Hi Book Worm Dean,  I remember when I first started making altered books, how scandalous and 'wrong' it felt to tear apart, destroy, reinvent books. But I think giving them new life is a great thing to do rather than them end up at a library sale for retired books for a quarter. Thanks for the Wilde mail!!!!
