But if you do send me something, I will return something to you, but it might take a little while.
After 6 years (+3000 pieces sent) it's time to take a Mail Art break.
Hope to be back someday when I retire for good.
For not being able to take my eyes off that lamb below I lsot the message I had already written. It went something like this: great piece of litterature Dean ( your last postcard) and the collage is very original too.. How is it done? The lamb anim I mean.(There, I am looking at it again! Better say bye bye)
Yes, still doing Mail Art, have a call for Gloves and Mittens, see www.paperandpostage.blogspot.com. Starting a second hub cap, the finished first one is on www.refluxus.blogspot.com. Thanks for the interest, send me some mitten mail!
Hello, Dean. It was awful day for me and still is, but your art bright my day! Thanks a lot for your masterpiece! It gaves many ideas for me too because I have a lot of stuff from my old computer. Your style of trashpo is amazing.
What do mountains, dairy cows bike races and trains have in common? I'm not sure. Thanks for a glimpse of the 'world away from the ordinary". amazingly, it arrived fully in tact!
Dean, LOVED my banana maze. I'm not sure if I will get more banana mail, but I'll give it a few more days and then do a banana blog at the postalledger. It has been fun to think around something so everyday as the banana. Thanks!

Thanks for the blog post! And for the friendship request! (I had no idea we hadn't clicked that button yet!!) Plz--don't ever feel pressure about mail art EVER. Art takes its own time. Beside which if you've been working on that thing all this time I'll be shaking at its epic-ness when it comes to Seattle. Cheers! The cherry blossoms are out here.
Love all the stuff you sent. The originals are hanging at the Forest so will wait until I have them in my hands to reply and blog more fully. In the meantime you can see them here:
Dean, from you overdue postage is no big deal. the title of the blog post had nothing to do with that. I was pleased at getting so much from you for the exhibit it felt like they were multiplying! Thanks again!
Dean, did you watercolor as well as glue on this latest mail art that arrived yesterday? In any case it is peaceful and beautiful, and I love it. Thank you.
So I looked in my mail box, and saw something that looked "Dean like." When I saw the stamps I thought to myself, "these are American, this couldn't be from Dean." And then it hit me, "Dean is in America!" So that's you know, Dean Marks the honorary mail-art American. Enjoy your trip.
Dean, thanks for the book-postcard; I'm at a loss for words [if only I had a dictionary, hey . . .]. Made in the air and mailed from here in California none-the-less [postmarked; Oakland, CA]. This one was almost a lost-in-the-mail mail-art piece, the address label was literally placed on top of the card when I opened my mail box, and fell off as I pulled it forward out of the box. Whew, that was a close one.
Got a very BIG postcard in the mail today from you and LOVED IT!!! Thank you for sending; my favorite thing in the world is opening the mailbox and finding these very cool things from all over the world in there! Will return the favor soon.
Dean, got your Brilliant book collage! Perfect medium of mail art for a nutty bibliophile like me! When do you get home so i can send you something back???
Hey Dean, I recently received some great MA which I thought was from you as there's a "Dean" sticker on it; nonetheless, the stamps are US and you're in France, oui? Is this from you? If so, I love it - thanks!
Hi Book Worm Dean, I remember when I first started making altered books, how scandalous and 'wrong' it felt to tear apart, destroy, reinvent books. But I think giving them new life is a great thing to do rather than them end up at a library sale for retired books for a quarter. Thanks for the Wilde mail!!!!
