Yvonne: This is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a friendly mail artist living in a friendly country. Does it sound OK for somebody who likes to meet people from other countries?.:-)))))) What seems to be a perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would like to be the other side on this very beginning with you at IUOMA when you decide is the right time to do it. If so your envelope should read as follows:

Mail of the Living Dead is currently in the process of creating a "Zombie Encyclopedia" using add & pass as a medium. i've stuffed around 20 enveloped with blank pages and some zombie literature to send out into the mail art world to be passed around to 12 people then returned, and compiled into a larger book, The Mail of the Living Dead Encyclopedia!

hi Yvonne! Just popped the zombie pages in the mail this morning to you. Thanks for your friend invitation! On the zombie pages, don't be afraid to add on top of, color in or over, or alter/embellish what I did to your heart's content. That's the fun of collaborative projects! I included some extra collage material that you can use or save for another project sometime. Have fun! Thom C

yvonne!!!
i checked out the video you posted thom.
i've heard that song countless times back when it was first popular and i never realized she was saying zombie!! hehe.
i liked it, it was really moving especially with all the children - as i have had my own experiences with children's deaths (a friend of mine died in second grade, and then my son died here just last november).
i really appreciate your posting it, and i will make a point to send you something soon!!! ;-D

i don't know what, but i will scour through his things and find you something.
here is a picture i drew after he died:

ok.
Aug 2, 2011
but if you want to know more about my son, i have created several arts about him.
there is a list of many of the arts at the bottom of that page, but there are others which i haven't remembered to include. his death was the tipping point for all of my recent drive in artwork, mostly because what i feel i just can't seem to express in words nearly as well as in art form. but i have written some poems about it also. i do delve in a lot of other work besides his death, but his death is definitely a running theme that i keep reverting back to whenever i have moments of stress occur.
if you want to know more about him and what happened, you are always free to ask.
If sometime you notice a hummingbird flying over Stallschreiberstrasse, be an attentive observant. It may a brazilan one in a celestial postal mission.
O.K Yvonne sounds like a plan. I once read a book about a woman who collected marginallia by famous people, sounds cool! I should have some art out to your side of the globe in a week or so. All the best! Neil
Thanks so much for the message you sent to me and thanks for what I see as a great metaphor. Often I just make things look interesting together and other times I go for a certain mood. Whenver people seize on something that means something to them in one of my creations I feel the greatest sense of pride. Thanks for your kind words and I look forward to trading with you in the future.
