Oh, so you have been working very hard all summer! Good luck with the thesis! It will all go very well. I missed you too, and am really looking forward to having you back here and seeing new art from you.
  • DKeys

Hi Jen, such a nice surprise to get a card from you=-great lino print!
  • Holly Cooper

thanks for the nice comment. I love the small origami paper, it's so pretty and fun. And I don't feel so bad when I mess it up...
  • Valentine Mark Herman

And yet another goodie from you, Dear Jen, for which many thanks indeed. A strange collage -- with bits fromSouthbridge, Mass; Torino; and something where/thing from la belle France. Great fun & mercy buckets.

I'll be mailing you something back very soon. Bon weekend! Regards, Moby

  • Karen Champlin

  • David Stafford

    Jen,

was it a lino or a woodcut? And what was the actual size of the cut? inquiring minds....

  • Marie Wintzer

Jen! Thank you so much for your mail! I'm really happy to see something from you again, it's beautiful!!
  • Neil Gordon

No problem! We spoke about this when you were working on your thesis and i complained it wasn't right for your Proff. not to let you do one on pin-up art. Also you told me about your dream trip to the bowelss of the smithonian(ithink it was)

Anyhoo!-  I like the retro themes on your page! All the best,Neil

  • David Stafford

You're welcome, Jen. It was fun to write a play that fits on the back of a postcard...Think I'll do more of those.

  • Neil Gordon

Jen, got your beautiful vintage  envelope! Great handmade block print on antique paper; The paper you wrote the letter on, was that your collage digitally scanned? I love the notepad you made,  makes me think of  Van Morrison's "Domino". Thanks for everything! See ya in the mail! Neil Gordon

I am so goddamned envious of your ability to get a fine line and such wonderful detail on your linocuts. arrrgh...thanks btw....arrgh....

  • David Stafford

    I'm gonna make a linocut....you just wait and see...with little teensy-weensy lines...

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

    Jen,

Thank you for asking me to be friends.  I think you should wait until you get the piece I recently sent you.  You may not like it!  And then you will have to de-friend me.  I'll be waiting for your verdict with bated bananas.

PS Congratulations a little bird told me it's twins!

  • jon foster

Got a card from you today, thanks so much. I love the stamp with the old paper. I'm always on the look out for old paper but I never seem to find any. Thanks again.

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Thank you, Jen! Love the announcement of your pregnancy !(heeheehee)

Everyone is blogging it, me too, but amongst the flowers...that makes it special!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Rumor has it that you are having twins? Yes, I'll be the Greek "κουμπάρα"...η νονά!

(Me thinks you will break the IUOMA record for how may blogs this print appeared in! ;-)

  • DKeys

Hey Jen=that got there quick! I do love the pregnant Victorian print you sent even though it has now  grown legs. Have a good Thanksgiving-good to see you around more:)

  • De Villo Sloan

In fact, an envelope just came in from you, along with a stunning piece of hate mail from someone else that got my attention over yours. Have you heard of The Law of Unintended Consequences? It works for both of us today. But all of it should make a pretty funny blog. Thanks - and we're working overtime to put together a special Elgin Shroud package for you, as you appreciate the fashion part.

  • Nancy Bell Scott

We weren't?? Thanks for the remedy !

  • Valentine Mark Herman

    Dear Jen,

I received yesterday your non-birth announcement print, for which many thanks indeed. It's certainly sparked off a lot of interest. I wonder what you'll send out next, and whether it will be maternally-themed, or not?

I'll mail you something back in the next day or so.

Now take good care of yourself in the coming months, because in your condition...

    Etc..

    Bestest, Val

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

Hi, Any news of the last piece I sent you?  I have three ideas going around in my head for the baby group.  I'll try to finish them before the due date!

  • Marie Wintzer

Jen! Thank you for the great non-announcement! :-))) it's still very funny. Arigato!

    RudeGirl,

I actually taught myself to draw from reading comics in Junior High, haven't read any Walking Dead yet though. I think the stamp on that last card I sent is an old astrological diagram; it's one that I inherited from my Mom's collection after she passed away in Sept.

Hi Jen - Glad you liked the card. I hope your 2012 is filled with fun! Happy Christmas!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

    Twas the night before Christmas,

    and Jen has a BIRTHDAY!

(Maybe tomorrow she gives non-birth to Christmas non-twins???)

Happy Birthday Greetings from Greece! "XRONIA POLLA!"

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Oh, a gingerbread house is all fine and good,

but here come a choco glam birthday cake for you. Happy! Happy! xx

  • David Stafford

    My sentiments exactly!

  • David Stafford

Cool....I'm afraid the Walkman is rather spent sonically but try to find a good tape deck for that Twang compilation. I think you'll like it.

    RudeGirl,

I dropped a card for you in my mailbox today, of course it might be quicker to just hop on my bike & hand deliver it, haha.

    RudeGirl,

I only mailed it yesterday! I guess that's the benefit of living just a couple of Zip Codes away.

Thank you, Jen. Luckily I did NOT go to Athens and luckily my son came from Athens here...we are 550 miles away, so safe and sound. 'Twas a bit choatic, but things have settled down and now to celebrate "Lovers' Day". Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

'Glad some "fuzzy love" arrived in Texas, Jen! A bit late for Valentine's Day...but close enough, I guess. The "fuzzy" is from Nancy Bell Scott. She sent me a package full of pieces of her hand-made pulp paper. Are they not the greatest texture! Well, I planned to use them on Xmas greetings, but glad that they were better for fuzzy, soft "ΑΓΑΠΗ"! ;-)

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

No problem, I know that we all have another life.  Actually I can't remember what I sent you.  Bar code Boxes?

Also not to be forgotten but I have two more baby projects.  One come from an idea I had on Dec 31, and the other idea dates back to Jan 1.  We are having a Paris meeting this weekend, and I might take one of them along to finish it.   Stay tuned to this channel!

Good here, Jen. how's the nonkid? 'Glad the CD arrived safe and sound...it may not play however, I think the acrylic paint blocks the laser!

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Oh, good, Jen, please don't put it in the Mac...acrylic paint sticks ugly!

But enjoy seeing the rainbow on the other side...under a light :-)

  • David Stafford

thanks jen....love it...inspiring!...will respond in kind soon......

  • Svenja Wahl

    ooooooh, I can't wait!! ;-)

  • Katerina Nikoltsou (MomKat)

Bonsoir Jen! Thanks for the print/card. If it was from you, cos there was no address on it, and I needed Lisa/Skybridge's help to work out who it might be from. Assuming it was from you, I'll mail you something back next week, and if it wasn't then...oh dear, I've got it wrong again. Hope you are well. Bestest, Val
