Hello Fellow Postcard Enthusiasts:
Recently married as of April 2011, we both agreed this would be a fun hobby to start as a couple. We've lived on a farm for several years hence the title "BarnArt".
Upon the suggestion of a close friend that loves to send, receive and create postcards, we got very excited about IUOMA and sending and receiving unique and beautiful creations from all over the world. We love traveling, photography, music, reading and camping. We are a collective of musicians and artists and love to become inspired through all sorts of mediums. IUOMA is another great way we can do this..so thank you for all that you do Mail Art!
Thanks to you all for keeping this going and can't wait to see what's waiting for us in our mailbox.

This is a friendly welcome to The Eternal Network from a friendly mail artist living in a friendly country. What seems to be a perfect start here is mail-art exchange. I would like to be the other side on this very beginning with you at IUOMA when you decide is the right time for you to do it. If that’s the case your envelope should read as follows:

I look forward to see your piece on my mailbox. Yes!, I will do my homework after receiving yours. That’s a celestial promise. I´m Patricio, The Celestial Scribe.
I'm glad the BACK of my card got a bit-o-damage as it went through the postal machinery and not the front. Interesting how that happens, but then that's part of mailing art. Sweet I'm your first mail art!!
Dear Sarah, I just got your wonderful cup of tea out of the mailbox, what a great surprise! Thank you so much for the card, and your kind words! I'll send something soon and I'm looking forward to our exchange! Svenja
Sarah, thanks for the cool card you sent me, and is that a computer blaring asemics? I see multiple possibilities. Love the eclectic address side also. I'm going to befriend you quickly because it wasn't easy finding you on here via search ...
Should have said my first thought, which was ... radio! The longer I looked, though, the more it had things in common with my laptop, depending what's on the screen, of course. It's just great that you and Nick are enjoying IUOMA. I will send you something soon.
Bonsoir Sarah (and Nick too, of course, if he is allowed to share these messages). Many thanks for your very nice stencil, acrylic portrait card that arrived safely in France. it's very good indeed. i hope that ou're enjoying IUOLA and getting in and sending out lots of Mail Art. I'll be mailing you something back at the start of next weekend;
My greatest difficulty of communication is not to dominate the English language. I think in Portuguese and look for a universal language through symbols.
Thanks for your very nice note and for sharing your pictures with me. I wasn't sure if you knew that I had recently blogged about your terrific mail art to ME... but here is the link in case you missed it:
Glad you liked the card, my New Friends. 2 questions: i) who does what in your mail art duo? ii) who's your friend, Jon, and he is in IUOMA? Ok, that's 3 questions! Bon weekend, Moby/Val
Bonjour Barn Arties Sarah and Nick. Thanks for the answers, and say hello to Jon for me when you next see him. I'm looking forward to receiving your next piece. If you can manage to do so, can you send it to England where I'll be from 16-26 October as it would be nice to receive some Mail Art there? My address is V. Herman, 18 Mayfields, Uplands Rd, Darlington DL3 7TU, England. (If that's not possible, then mail me something to my French address.) Thanks! And best wishes, too, Val
Dear BarnArt family: the brazilian post office has been on strike since sept. 9. I can´t receive/send mail art. Based upon what I use to receive, there should be something close to 20 pieces waiting delivery to may mail box. Suprisingly, a golden smiling face posted aug29 landed last friday at home. I appreciate the fact that mine is probably one of the earliest cards you produced. It goes to "the museum". Promises are to be kept, celestial promises then.... Keep paying full attention to the sky. If you see a hummingbird flyng over Pageland Hwy, it may happen to be a postbird from "Republik van Patland" carrying a very special something for the couple.
Looking forward to seeing some of your work. The word is that you are really the Master Mind, and that Nick stands in back of you looking pretty and says; "A little more red & blue in that one Dear." Time and Mail Art tells all in the end. Have a lovely evening, and I hope you have a smile on your face after reading this!
Hi there! I'm terrible behind with blogging and thanking and everywhere else! Just wanted to let you know that I love your newest mail art, got it Saturday! Is this someone I should know?? Love your technique.. best, Svenja
Sick & Narah: my inspiration was not from within, but from the following words: "If you have any suggestions and/or ideas for us please let us know. We are just beginning this endeavor so can't wait to see what emerges as we start to create".
Thank you Sarah and nick! Beautiful print arrived in Greece today! Sorry my image is a bit blurred, but I really like this very much. Something "Autumn" is in the mail to you soon!
Morning Sarah and Nick, KALIMERA! Glad you like the autumn leaf...it looks like a maple leaf, but it is from the "plane trees", or as they are called in Greece:"Platania", named after Plato who sat beneath them with his "students"!
Received your excellent trashbook the other day. I love how it's all made up of all packaging, especially the tissue box is a GREAT touch, and am proud to have one of these for myself. Thank you!!
Thank you Sarah and Nick! I'm very excited about all of IUOMA, yet a bit confused - I seem to have so much left to learn! I'll be waiting mail from you and naturally send you something back :) We'll stay in touch. -Hanna-
Hey, hey. Oh yes we need to make something happen soon enough. Not sure what's going on over the break? I'm going to The Dominican Republic on Dec 11th-18th but after Christmas, something shall happen. Sending you a zine soon!

The second Lexington card was pretty on the nose, over the top, and generally stupid. I knew you would be the only one to laugh at it though.
