    Call for "Haiga" postcards 2019-12-31
Please send POSTCARDS with your own or someone else's Haiga to:
    Lois Richter

    1315 Torrey St

    Davis CA 95618, USA

"Haiga" is a poetry/image art form that uses three lines of text ALONG WITH on image to describe a moment.  Because English syllables differ from Japanese phonemes, the lines do NOT have to be 5-7-5 syllables -- they can be much shorter and still be English "ku".  Preferably, there are no run-on sentences; no verbs; and the text alone would not evoke the same thing as the text/image together.

Traditionally haiku is about nature and senryu is about human-made things (or humans).  Either haiku or senryu is welcome in HAIGA.
    Below is one of mine.

Health problems put paid to my last little project but, now that I am busy again, I would like to finish it off; get some documentation done for those (very) patient few past contributors and generally tidy things up so . .   I am looking for some Yoko Ono Artistamps. single stamps, full sheets, on or off envelopes, it doesn't much matter.  Printed or hand drawn. Collaged or rubber stamped.  No reason.  No deadline.  If I can get a dozen or so I shall be able to come up with a nice bit of documentation to send back through the post.  Old skool!

My address is on my page.  Ciao.
