Received this news today (19-1-2020) from Jack Latteman:
Dear mail art friends,
Several mail artists have asked me recently what has happened to Test Tower, also known as Ron Stenberg, who most recently lived in Chehalis, Washington, USA, about 30 miles from Cascadia Artpost in Olympia. Thanks to updated research from mail artist Kathleen McHugh, I sadly report that Ron passed away at home on April 27, 2018, after several years of illness. We last saw Ron in fall 2014. Those of us who attended Ex Postal Facto in San Francisco in February 2014 will continue to hold fond memories of Ron who shared a table with Cascadia Artpost at the Saturday public event. His mail art as Test Tower will always be remembered as a unique contribution to the Eternal Network.
~ Jack Lattemann, Cascadia Artpost
Test Tower was a very active IUOMA member and this group was made to share our thoughts and create a place to remember him. May he rest in Peace.

Over the years there was such a dear mail art exchange,
and a few projects by Ron, too. His art lives on...

In response to questions about Test Tower (aka Ron Stenberg): he attended a barbeque at the domicile of Cascadia Artpost in summer 2014, and then we met him at his favorite Mexican restaurant in Centralia, WA in fall 2014 (my memory is fuzzy about the month), but we have not seen or heard of him since. He did tell me at last meeting that he was undergoing kidney dialysis, so I fear Ron has succumbed to a worsening condition.

I remember several years back when ArtTower met up with TestTower in Centralia, Gunter had mentioned that Ron was ill, and yet it is so sad to know that he has left us.
We shall always have fond memories ...and of dear HeeBee JeeBee Land
