VINYL ART EXHIBITION
Our Exhibition opened last night.
Lots of people came (about 70 -- well a lot for here).
The Mayor made a speech.
I made 3 pizzas and lots of sandwiches.
Here are some photos of:
* your works on the display panels
* two young ladies who turned up and 'helped' me when I was setting up the Exhibition
* photos of Dean's vinyl in display cases
(Photos of my vinyl will appear later)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VINYL CONTRIBUTIONS!!!
Merci Valentine. Bonne chose est venu plein
TWO MORE!!!!
The last two.
This one is from Linda*:
(Pity about the Andy Williams, Linda-- but I'll forgive you)
And this one is from Maria:
I am super pleased that Maria's 'Aret Vinyl' arrived safely, 'cos the last one she sent me got hopelessly mangled in the post, and I couldn't repair it.
THANK YOU LINDA. THANK YOU MARIA.
* A self-apponited critic (I won't name him, but I'm sure you'll recognise the style):
"It gave me very great pleasure to receive this piece of vinyl art from that truly innovative mail artist, Linda French. Her work has always been acclaimed by the DiskuX community, in Two Harbours and elsewhere. Previously attached to the turntable-turning school at One Harbour, Linda recently crossed the bridge over the vinyl art troubled waters into Two Harbours, where she immediately got in the groove. Linda's work is ground- (if not record-) breaking as it pushes the conventional boundaries of round vinyl to unexplored octagonal dimensions, thus causing the viewer to reconecptualise the 334 possibilities of the 33 rpm record....."
He went on for another five or so pages, but I think you'll get the gist of this, well I was going to say 'pretentious, pompus nonsense', but I won't.
Really beautiful.
Hi Gina! Time has had to become flexible on this, so it IS on time. There's one more ^piece of vinyl awaiting collection at the Post Office, but I can't get it until after Easter. Please send me a copy of your photo, as I still, haven't found my charger thingy, and want a photo so my records (ha!) are complete.
May all your Eatser eggs be filled with Smarties.
Vinyl Val
That's good news! Did I make it in time? Don't worry about a photo, I took a spoiler pic a few weeks ago!
Gina: it's arrived safely! Thank you. Merci...pour the vinyl, and the pasion, flower.
(I will photo it when I can find the charger for my phone)
