Today, 9th of January, he should have turned 66. Alas he passed away three years and two months ago.
By seeing this birthday announcement, and knowing his account is still here, I am happy to know that, in a way, he's still present in this IUOMA group.
                                Miss you, Ennio!
To whom should we send our elephants, and lynxes, now...

For the ones who don't know him, see also this post, and the links mentioned, among them this hommage, thanks to Claudio Romeo, Anna Boschi and Vittore Baroni.

(great elephant stamp, received in July 2010)

Oh, thank you, Heleen, for this and posting the links.

Yes, the homage was very nice, me missing Ennio, too, and Elephants!

Strange how ning continues to post the birth date, but then again,

it is a nice way of remembering. Many are here "in spirit".

Thank you for your kind words, Katerina!
Feels good to share our feelings of missing such a friendly person. And good that he is remembered, not only by his family and friends, but also by us - far away mail art friends. Even though I have never met him in real, by his mail art (and his enjoying of the mail art we sent to him, I learned from some happy emails he had sent me, then) it feels like he's being part of our lives, too.

yes, sweet memories of his work and his zines.....
