For those that know, what can I use to easily paint a CD that both looks nice, and will not mess up the CD / CD player?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Plastic house paint might work on CD's , Jon.

I have used thick acrylic paints...but even then the colors tend to chip off a bit

Oh ok, thanks so much. I went out looking for some yesterday and couldn't come up with any. I decided on working with pens, it was what I have. Thanks so much for the information.

Painted CD's by Ruud Janssen

Over the years I have painted thousands of CD's with acrylic paint. Here is an overview of a part of the collection. Some already have been exhibited. Interested in buying one or exhibiting he collecion: just contact me. Price of one Painted CD in box is € 100,- (includes sending). Order with mentioning the number. Sold CD's will be removed from the blog.

My only question is, can you still play the CD's that you've painted? Right now I'm working on a music / mail art project but I need to the CD's to still play. Plus, I'm a little worried that if the paint isn't very strong it may mess up someone's CD player.
