this is my little project for 2011 though it is not exactly a mail art project more of a collaborative artist book if anything.

i have found a nice old stamp album with smart red covers and over a hundred usable pages. the plan is to fill it with all sorts of stamps ; artistamps of all sorts from the proffessional colour printed jobs with all the bells and whisles to the humble photo copied affair; stamps from imaginary or fantasy places; surreal, dada or fluxus stamps; found stamps; just about anything and everything sort of stamps. also, anything ese that might be found in a regular stamp album such as first day covers or strange posal markings. as well as arti and other faux postage i am also including some "real" stamps that reproduce the work of surreal, dada or pop artists. i think the main rule is .... there are no rules!

i made a start by ransacking my various folders and envelopes and have now filled about a dozen pages. these, and all the other pages as they are finished, are being put into a special album in the my photos section of my home page here at iuoma for all to see.

i will soon have some stamps of my own ready to send out in exchange
