MAIL ART CALL - A DOODLE FOR HAITI

Artists from around the world are invited to submit a postcard-sized piece of original artwork to us. There will be no jury, no fees and no return of artwork –

All the postcards will be published on the blog: www.accademiadelloscarabocchio.blogspot.com

All received postcards will be viewed during some exhibition starting from the 22th of May 2010. All postcards will be auctioned off in a silent auction. All the proceeds will be donated to Haiti via Unicef. t

The theme is DOODLING - Let Your Imagination Run Wild.

Postcards must be received before May 15, 2010 to be include in the first show and first auction that will take place during the Doodle Day organized by the Cultural Association Genius Loci in Matera (Italy)

Postcards received after that date will be included in shows and auctions in different galleries. (Matera, Bari…) from May 2010 to June 2010

Postcards submitted must be an original drawing, painting, collage, mixed media piece, poetry, or short story created by you and must fit on a standard postcard dimensions. (max cm 13x18)

Please no nudity, overly religious artwork, racist, or pornographic art. The shows will be viewed by the general public which will include children.

Please include on the back of your work: - Your name, full mailing address, title of artwork, medium and email address, (website if you have one).

PROGETTO DI ARTE POSTALE – UNO SCARABOCCHIO PER HAITI
MAIL ART CALL – A DOODLE FOR HAITI (the english call follows the italian one!)

Il Primo Circolo Didattico “Padre Giovanni Minozzi”, in collaborazione con l’Associazione “Genius Loci”, invita tutti gli artisti ad inviare un lavoro con le misure della cartolina.
Non vi sarà giuria, nessuna tassa per la partecipazione, né restituzione.
Il tema del progetto è “A doodle for Haiti” –
Tutte le cartoline pervenute saranno pubblicate sul blog www.accademiadelloscarabocchio.blogspot.com;
inoltre saranno allestite mostre itineranti a partire dal 22 Maggio 2010
Prima mostra presso il Primo Circolo Didattico Minozzi di Matera in concomitanza con la Giornata dello Scarabocchio. Le mostre che seguiranno saranno organizzate in gallerie di arte con calendario che sarà reso noto in seguito.
Durante le mostre le cartoline saranno messe all’asta, tramite asta silenziosa ed il ricavato sarà donato all’Unicef per Haiti.
Le cartoline dovranno pervenire entro il 15 Maggio 2010 per poter partecipare alla prima asta benefica.
Sarà possibile inviare anche successivamente altre cartoline che potranno partecipare alle successive aste. Le cartoline saranno aggiudicate al miglior offerente e consegnate durante la prima settimana di Giugno 2010, a chiusura dell’evento.
Il supporto e la tecnica sono liberi.
Misure: max 13×18
Non si accetteranno lavori con nudità, o inneggianti alla violenza ed al razzismo.
La mostra sarà frequentata da un pubblico vasto che comprende anche bambini.
