Hey Val, Glad you got my card. So have you learned how to control your pecs like a jedi mind warrior yet?!? I've been fluffing up my tail for the big event...I'll let you know when Hef is ready for us :))))))))
I've had the Nostrils name for quite a while...not sure why I chose that one, just sounded pretty cool. Since you may not be able to hear the "music" I guess I can describe it. Basically I use a program that very easily creates music, you can layer drums and bass and all kinds of stuff. Then I take a random topic, whatever comes to mind, and then sing or try to rap or try to sing over the music. I try and make it funny.
thank you very much for your lovely mail art piece Val :) Glad to hear mine arrived and am now lifted from the fine ;) hope you'll have a great 'pinkster weekend' next week. best wishes, tarah
Goedemorgen Val, So sorry for the delay. Sounds very cool, a combi-exhibition. Will start dreaming and thinking about it. Now, Here's my recipe for making a Nelson Mandela-lala.
What I use is:
**paper or canvas
**a ruler (if you want to find the exact middle of the paper/canvas)
** nip pen
** black ink
** a 'passer', a mathematical thingy to make circles with, don't know the English word.
After I found the middle of the paper or canvas I make circles with the passer. (Forget about the drawing in this picture, something completely different.)
When I have these 'help' circles I start making a pattern, starting in the middle. Circle after circle... after circle. I do turn the paper, which is NOT allowed in real mandale-philosophy, but that is another story. Officially my coloured circles are no Nelson Mandela-lala's. Which is fine by me, don't care. Like the proces of filling the paper/canvas. When the drawing is finished I choose 7 colours (my choise, nothing official of whatever) and start filling the drawing in. Starting in the middle. This is a drawing I am working on at the moment. It's for the vet of my velvety friends ;))
You can make very big mandala's like this canvas of 80x80 cm. Only have to finish the background... but it takes already more than 6 months to finish it.
And of course you can make smaller ones. I copied a miniature and am now experimenting with combinations of blue. Which is an awfull lot, in theory, the product of 7x7x7x7x7x7x7.
So, when will you show us your first Nelson Mandela-lala from Sigean? Have fun and a nice weekend.
hello, val...thankyou, not necessary send anvelope...you are a sweet friend...cangratulation for your activitty...you have a lot of ennergy...for your friendship i wish to be alive when you'll be 100 years old...
Glad the 3rd one made it, that one is for any future infractions and finage. There's something else heading to Sigean but not an envelope, something "special" just for you :))))))
hi Val, your postcard arrived yesterday, amazingly all in one piece, the flap flapping as it was intended, or not? but still attached. Love the captions. It will be displayed ont he STG (not an illness) or perhaps the BG (not a group, only the Bag Gallery) around the Jubillee celebrations.
Ahaaaaa, thank you for the explanation. The Dutch equivalent is 'heitje voor een karweitje' = a kwartje for a little job like mowing the law, bringing the empty bottles to the supermarket, taking the dog for a walk.
