I have no qualms about getting old and nor should you!! I'll be 43 and proud of it!! Well, not that proud since I haven't grown up yet, but who cares, really? I'd rather dance around wildly with flowers in my wig!!! Good suggestion!!

(after a bout of junk shopping first!! ;-))

You could threaten to send Vear a Vig like mine and see if that will lure him out of his cave.

G'day Possum Sheila! Are you going to send me another envelope soon? I've started making up number 6 for you. I'll be wearing my wet suit today because it's raining here for the first time in about 2 months, and NO I can't send you a photo cos I don't have the camera any more, tee hee. Did you see that Barry, Edna and gang have retired from doing live shows? I remember seeing them on British TV in the mid-70's (when you were only a very small Joey) and they were one of the funniest things around. Off puddling to get the baguette and newspaper soon. Val

I didn't know that the Dame gang had retired, no. Pity. My mum went to see the show and she said that she laughed all the way thru!! Dame is a clever possum.

I sent you real art mail last week, before you started begging for Sigean envelopes. You already have my tunnelling to Waits piece for the show, this next piece is sans env, can it still go in the show if you write Sigean on it??

You look lovely today with the coral, heehee.

Barry is going to write his memoirs, I would have written Sigean on your piece sans envelope, BUT the exhibition is about envelopes...not cards: I might do cards next year. What do you mean by 'real' mail art? As opposed to 'pretend' mail art? Real men don't send post cards.

Come on, send me another package, please, cos theyv are fun, AND you might want to include a new or different piece of coral, or soemthing, that I can wear for the Opening Night when the world's press will be there in force.

I might buy a fig tree today. Au revoir,

Figaro

Thankyou caraVan/naVarac.

The 29th it is. That's the same birthdate as my sister, who also lives in Oz.

I haven't seen my sister since I 'met' Viz.

Perhaps they have metamorphosised into one person and have the same birthdate.

Au revoir!

Val

PS Has your son a note of MY birthday? And my THREE Saints' Days -- St Valentine, St Matk and St Hermann (with 2 'n's, but I don't mind the spelling as long as the cards and gifts keep flowing).

The 29th it is not! Hmmm we've already determined that she's my sister-from-another-mister so if she's your sister too well, that makes us all related but alas if her birthday isn't the 29th I guess she can only be my sista...Sorry Charlie :(

PS He ABSOLUTELY know when Valentine's Day is...he likes the girls for sure! But we didn't get Kram calendars so you better let us in on your DOB and for the record AND so you're not late my day is MayDay so feel free to leave flowers on my doorstep. Or better yet knock on the door and come in, we'll dance around with flowers in our wigs...it will be perfect...don't forget.

Bonjour Varac! I tried, and failed, to convince Vizma a long while ago that my paternal relatives might have originated from what is now Latvia, and if they had, then she and I might be related. Alas, she wasn't convinced, so I until just now I only had one sister, but perhaps -- with you -- I have two. Dean can be our Artfather, perhaps?

My birthday is on 15 October (and not on Valentine's Day -- but I claim that, and St Mark's and St Hermann's Days as mine, too).

Today is St Léo's Day, according to my French calendar, and World Water Day according to my Dutch one.

Flowers on May Day? Surely not!  Something revolutionary is undoubtedly called for (although a red rose -- in the barrel of a gun? -- might be appropriate).

So, you son likes the girls -- but do they like him?Good luck, kidda!

Val

I know that there are time differences between Oz/Europe/& the US, and we are not all sharing the same day (or universe?) but is The Birthday on the 24th or the 29th? If the latter I can get to SA to sing Viz Happy Birthday, if the latter I will just have to sing it to the cats here at home.

I celebrate my birthday in the time-honoured North of England fashion: I go to the pub.

I have 365 birthdays a year (366 this year!).

Val

Are you already drunk Val?? The latter and the latter is the same thing...

I'm going out now to practice drinking wine with my friends now, in preparation for the weekend! Cheers!

CaraVan- why didn't we think of that? Cara Van Zombie, etc!!

Sorry to jump in here in the middle; Did I hear that Vizma's birthday is the 24th of March .......... 1969?  That doesn't give us much time to prepare.

Only 43?! I suppose we Oldies but Goldies might be accused of child snatching or whatever the Mail Art equivalent is
