A lot of Mail-Artists use rubber stamps. Where do you get yours. If you order them, what kind of tips and hints can you give. How does one get his rubber stamps in the different countries worldwide?

I get them in several places. BUT....My #1 Favorite place is Stamp Francisco (online) . They represent many companies. Have TONS of stamps. Buy 5 and they give you a free stamp (their choice). It's a family owned company. A real fun place.
Purchased rubber stamps in Greece are expensive.
The upper ones were I designed and had made-to-order costing 15 to 18 EURO each :-(
then I went to Chicago! And went numb in Hobby Lobby...(an artist's heaven-on-earth store!)
And while I couldn't bring too many back with me, they were soooo inexpensive,
and if "on sale" they were $4 or $5 only!
The BEST, I agree, were from "stamp Francisco",
and also "Stampabilities" had some great ones.
My IUOMA stamp was only $10 from Sticker Dude...super!

It has been a long while since I bought rubber stamps but I used to shop Addicted to Rubber Stamps and I believe the international shipping is not unexpectedly high.
In London me and Elena are totally obsesssed with the excellent Blade Rubber opposite the British Museum. We spend hours there at a time. The best thing about that place is the classes they run, but the stampes themselves are a little pricey. Great few hours can be spent just browsing.

The "Addicted to Rubber Stamps" site closed a few months ago.

http://www.bizzaro.com/  has some offbeat stamps.

Addicted to Rubbers stamps has been re-opened by another company. http://www.addictedtorubberstamps.com/ProductList?Manufacturer=6-17...  Hope this link works. I agree though that StampFrancisco is really good. It's where I got my International Artist stamp with the place for the # and date. Lots of fun using it.

I've gotten some wonderful stamps from Leavenworth Jackson Rubber Stamps in Berkeley, California!  http://www.ljackson.com/index.html  The only problems are that they don't take credit cards and they don't take internet orders.  It's all by snail mail and check or money order.  If you take a look at their website though, you might decide that's it worth the wait.  It was for me.

Plus, if you read all the way down to the bottom of their order form, there is a "readers gift" that you can order.  I got a free heart rubber stamp with my first order.  Also, they stamped my order envelope with stamps that were not in their catalog or on their website!  Which made me want them too.  With an email to them, I found out they were available and the price.  I've ordered them too.

This one I ordered at www.naammo.nl
