Suggestions: Eroticism always had been one of the motors of human being ¿Is it still a motor at the present time? ¿Was it affected by the actual global crisis? Consider the option to work about eroticism as a theme in all the possible ways, the requiered size is suitable to develop it, and it will be interesting to prove how the actual crisis is affecting eroticism in connection with Postal Art.
Dear Cap'n, Hey! sailor, I just got an envelope full of mail art goodies from you, and am off now to the Playland Fun House and the longest slide in the world (how long is it I wonder?) Hélas, I missed your Shimo 2nd Reception, sorry. But do, please invite me to the 3rd one. Did you exhibit just one digital collage (as the invitation card implies) or many?
The collage add and pass thing will come back to you one day.
But before that, a French (postal, of course) letter will be on its way to you next week.
Hello Mike, your work has been selected for The Unexpected: Art in Transit, a postal art exhibit at the Basch Gallery in Sarasota, Florida. The following pieces of yours are listed in the collections, contributed by Sandra Lefever and Sarah Carter.
- Add-N-Pass, Collage on Japanese Postcard, Received May 1, 2012
Learn more about the show here. We already have these pieces in the inventory on loan from the collectors. Please let me know if you have any questions! Photos will be provided.
Merde -- that's one French word that you can truly boycott.
Thanks for the laest envelope with all the ATCs and stamps and labels and everything else. I am now 10,000 things richer, too.
I was very interested to read about your old typewriter. I too had one when I went to university in the 60's, and remember all the hassle of carbon copies, correction fluids and tapes, etc. (Didn't one of the Monkees' parents invent correction tape?). I think we still have an old typewriter in a cupboard somewhere, but it didn't work last time I tried it: some of the 'arms' were stuck.
It's nice to know that you'll be using it again. Can you get ink reels for it these days?
I'll be mailing you something back soon.
Hope you are well, Regards and thanks once more, Val
The poor Lady Captain Dickau has a lot to put up with your Factoids, but I truly appreciated them. Did you woo her in the mid-80's with that spider on your forehead,
And your banana plate with dominos. (Do you know dominos were originally named after the Dominican Order? Hence their white on black nature).
And the Big Dada/Big Mama card -- which is really cool.
And all the rest of it, too.
I'll be mailing you something back soon, and , in the meantime, Best wishes from Val
PS I probably should know this, but don't: is the cap'n the same guy as the Sticker Dude?
PPS Here's a couple of domino themed images i produced for a photo-essay-type book I once did on dice.

Bonjour Monsieur Mike
You sent me a photo of an old wooden wagon wheel -- for which many thanks;
The photo below is sort of related to it. It's made up of photos of disused wheels i found in the countryside round here;
Regards, Val (& Dolly)
