La Koki,

Sorry I missed your project deadline. If you have another call, I'd love to participate. I spent much of the later years of my professional life working in the West Indies as an anthropologist/archaeologist, primarily in Barbados. Each summer I would bring university students to Barbados and introduce them to calypso and soca and the spirit of carnival with the Bajan Cropover festivals. I never have yet managed to get to T&T, much to my regret, but some day I will! Perhaps for a mail art show.

Hi, La

The artist Jean-Francois Aillet invites you to collect your sample of sand from a moraine, from next to a waterfall or beside a river, along the shore of a lake or a stream, in a desert or on the border of an ocean. One should not, however, send him sand from a construction site. You are asked to document your collection of the material with a photo, taken as you are pouring the sand into a container. For an example, kindly visit his home page at www.aillet.com . English : http://www.aillet.com/traductions/anglais.htm

See you to take part in this international project.

Thank you, la Koki, I did not have photos of these two portraits and now I am happy to see that they arrived for your project. Maybe the photos were very large pixels for IUOMA and could not be uploaded?

Well, I am happy to see them.

Best of success with your mail art project!
