I have been thinking about my archive - not just in relation to the MYA project but for the future. It takes up a lot of room in our house - albeit in the old coal shed only accessible from Hazel's workshop in the back garden. I do venture in there sometimes to grab a box to scan for my blog but that shed is getting pretty packed now and difficult to get into the door let alone sort any boxes out! So anyway, my initial thought is to show selected boxes from various eras - 60's stuff from my art school days ,early 80's, late 80's , 90's etc. Not sure of venues yet but MMU in Manchester seems a likely choice as my wife Hazel works there and likes to introduce her students on the Interactive Arts course to mail art in their first year. So that's my thinking so far. It may change of course but I think that's a likely prospect for 2016.
Mail-Art in an Art-academy as basic source for mail-art courses. Sounds like a good idea.....
I'm thinking of bringing my collection of lost cat posters back to he streets. Maybe in some kind of a performance. You can see them at https://www.flickr.com/gp/mededeler/234389
Some might be almost 20 years old, some are quite recent. I could make some overview or try to bring them back to the place where they were found.
I do not yet have a collaboration idea, but someone might come up with something?
The idea is good. Lost cat fosters found their way back finaly. Where are the cats?
I will be do a workshop next month and will include parts of my archives in it as well. It deals with the new 3D pen which I will be inyroducing to teachers at a college. They wll start writing letters with a 3D pen. That is a start.....
