Mail Art Archives

Some Mail-Artists have been doing Mail-Art for a longer time and have saved all they get in, documented what they sent out, collected books, magazines and documentations, and before they knew it were the owner of a Mail Art Archive. Tell us more...

Do you have a mail-art archive?

If you have a mail-art archive.please tell a bit about what is in it, how you store it, from which dates the materials are, and if possible show a photo.Continue

Just wondered if more mail-artists have photos available of their mail-art collections, their ARCHIVES ?

An interview w/ Michael And in "Huffington Post." He goes back to the m-a network, copy art, etc.

Susanna Lakner (Germany) has an excellent online archive of her assembling zines. Many IUOMA members contributed to those zines. They are a real snapshot of a historical era, and the archive is extremely well done. Nice work, IMHO

Generator was a great zine, especially in terms of vispo. As the contents page for this issue shows, Byrum brought together several generations of networkers, concrete-visual poets, Langpo, etc. etc.

A discussion in a recent blog got me searching for any work I had by Janet Janet (active in San Francisco circa 1980s). So far, I have found this one (by Janet Janet). It appeared in Generator 2 edited by John Byrum in Ohio, USA.  Janet Janet was associated w/a zine called Box of Water but alas, I do not have copies. Steve Perkins has posted shots of the Festival of Plagiarism in SF. I gather there might have been several JJs.
