I couldn't possibly comment on that, Rebecca...BUT I was born and bred in Darlington, so feel free to draw your own conclusions

"I keep trying to think of what the equivalent 'sexy trash' would look like in England? I'm getting in this repressed loop."

Go seek in Darlington Cornmill Shopping Centre.

Picture a very obese 22-year old dressed in a white nylon track suit.

In one hand she's juggling a ciggy and an open bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.

With the other hand, she's pushing a baby buggy in which sit 2 young kids both eating large ice creams that are melting all over them. Hanging on to the buggy is a thiird child, about 5 years old, clutching a large bag of crisps.

Q: What's she called?

A: The Bride

Q: Where's she going?

A: On her honeymoon.

(Sexy enough? Trashy enough?)

Thanks for the blog.  It was fun reading.  If the men in black show up at your door, don't open it!

Rebecca, I got your beautiful art journal! Hooray! Thank you so much, both for the journal and for participating in this swap. The round format is very appealing and just surprisingly good! Sorry to hear about the car incident though. Glad you are ok.

May I blog or post pictures of your journal?

I sent mine journal on Saturday... gee, a small warning :)

26.01.14 Dare Mister De Villo Sloan, I too, am an Aram Saroyan enthusiast...(though I am merely  just another a naïve bandwagon groupie). Thanx for posting the info.  I understand a few things but never did grasp the "lighght" poem....do light waves have anything to do with it????  Can you--will you explain it to me.??? I should send you a copy of my book of poems(snicker, snicker)...there should be a copy around here somewhere boosting up  the corner of the microwave or the t.v. Best to you. Richard

love it, Rebecca. With WSB, a "Famous" writer few have read who seems to be more important now as a visual artist.
