I have just woken myself up from a bad dream. I don't know quite what time it is but it's still dark out so I guess 'early' will do. I suffer from dreams a lot. yhis was a dandy and I have been left wondering just how many people, out there in the Eternal Network, really find mail art sustaining to the spirit and an encouragement? Or is it all just a distraction, putting off the inevitable??
I was wondering which, if you came across a Genie who could move mountains and make anything possible, which pieces of art (say five pieces for the purpose) you would have in your home; not as interior decoration or financial investment, but as something to hold on to during the difficulties, something to light the way and inspire hope. Five pieces. any size, any date. Images could be posted instead of a list . . . or maybe five works would be too hard and five artists could be chosen instead?
I'm just interested that's all . . .

I can’t imagine my life without art. Creating and sharing mail art gives me a purpose and happiness. As for five pieces of art to hold onto during difficult times...that is a hard one.
They are my favourite artists!! They are russian landscape painters, who painted during the dawn of Russian impressionism!
Dear Olga, there we are - two names I have never heard of! I am of to planet Google to investigate . . .
Oh, I hope your anxiety goes away soon ... I can name Issak Levitan, his friend Korovin, and, as banal as it may be, van Gogh like artists, who can give me hope with their art. Now I am in an active search for hope, and these personalities are most interesting to me as people, and how they can come to what they create.
