Thank you for sharing your song, it's beautiful, an original combination!
Concerning cosmic connections or coincidence...
I didn't think of Indian music for a very long time. And then I did twice within one week. December 7th I went to a concert of a kamancheh player, who some years ago had made music together with an other sitar player from India (and tabla player, the three of them called themselves 'Ghazal' - who, same as you do in your 'Trip to India and Back again', also show an interesting and original combination of instruments / sounds). And seeing this kamancheh player I was thinking of the [other] sitar player.
Few days later I received mail art from Eva, with a stamp.. showing a sitar!
Just then I looked for some more information about the sitar and then suddenly I learned about Ravi Shankar's passing away...
I agree Heleen. On the 11th, I didn't know he had died but I suddenly felt like making a song called "A Trip to India and Back Again" in the middle of the night. When I went to the net to upload the song, I saw a notice that Ravi Shankar had passed away. Once again, cosmic connections occur in our semi-conscious minds. Here it is for you to hear...
~all we are is dust in the wind ~
So sad that he deceased, december 11th. Glad that he lived a long life and will live forever in his music.
