Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Post and Tele Communications, Engineer Hasanul Haq Inu urged to form a Public Investigative Commission on August tragedy. He was presenting a keynote paper in a workshop on Zia's direct or indirect involvement in the killing of the father of the nation, Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He introduced Zia as the 3rd Mir Zafar of Bangladesh, while 2nd one is Khandakar Mushtaque.

Chaired by Ambassador Waliur Rahman, in the workshop General Harunur Rashid Bir Protik and Professor Syed Anwar Hossain also presented two other papers on 'Rising of the extremism in Bangladesh after August 1975' and 'Role of domestic and international conspirators in the killing of Bangabondhu.' Professor Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Journalist Sohrab Hasan, Ambassador Kamaluddin Dr. Muntasir Mamoon commented on the papers. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Professor AFM Ruhal Haque was present at the workshop as chief guest.

Ambassador Waliur Rahman criticized the government for not withdrawing the grants and honours of the killers like Major Dalim and Major Noor. He also criticized the system of conferring honours in the War of Independence 1971. He said, there are many in our society who have been conferred with grants and honours, who even didn't take active part in the war excepting sitting idle in the Theater road. He urged to snatch the grants and honours even from the beneficiaries of the August Tragedy.

Organized by Bangladesh Heritage Foundation www.bhf-bd.org and Bangladesh Research and Publications, the workshop was held to commemorate the national mourning day 2009, at BILIA on 18th August. Coordinated by Rafique Sulayman

How sweet! I found myself so honoured and humbled I let my tea go cold!
Please feel free to use VEC stuff in any way you like, just as long as you tell me... like you did... which is good... isn't it. It is so hot here I creep out of my bed at dawn so that I can spend a couple of hours working in my allotment garden before it gets to hot to do any thing more than let my tea go cold... I saw it is a damn sight hotter where you are!!!¡~) best greets rod

Hi Katerina!
I know what you mean by quiet and cozy!!
Starnberg has been a sleepy town for most of the summer, the weather has been dreadful. Then these last few days the summer suddendly remembered us and the chaos of visitors has hit us...fireworks, party boats...beautiful! But for us residents somedays it is a nightmare to go about our daily chores. I guess there is never a happy medium.

Our heat wave is 28C!!...lol...and after an average of 17C...this is the most tropical we can be!!

I think I like those bubbly greek sunday papers of yours!! ;-)
Enjoy your beautiful blue sea, Katerina!
cheers

Thank you Katerina! It is a happy blog indeed...
Even though there is quite a serious 'bubbliography' about bubbles' scientific meaning and behaviour.. bubbles steal a smile from you and fill you with wonder.
I love how everybody's creativity has interpreted the subject so far...all in different individual ways but all joyfully.

best greetings
Patrizia

Dear Katerina!

Can You tell me some details about "a mail-art scientific conference"? Can I see program of this conference, list of participants, sections, etc?

I have some good texts about mail art in English. Can I participate?

With best wishes,
Gik Juri

I'll do it today, please let me know when it arrives... because, the Dutch government has decided to close all post offices which, not surprisingly, has upset the postal workers and mail has become even more unreliable than it was before.
It's r‘a‘i‘n‘ing, my garden is soooo happy;~)

Tonight lots of bubbles in the sky...I'll be fallingstar gazing. Greek skies must be perfect for it. We had rain last night.
