Good Morning Mim (well, it's morning here!)  Trish is having an exhibition of her year's work in November - the A-I-R Mail envelopes are going to be put into a book somehow & each envelope will be a seperate page.  Trish does some lovely books - calligraphy is her speciality.

Question for you............do you have a cutter that makes your circles?  Have looked at scrap-booking cutters but they are so expensive here.

Mim, that strange critter that was found dead might be a "locust borer" with its wings expanded? do you have any locust trees in the area? It may have been feasting on the tree...or died of old age?

It is exciting for me to try something like this, I have always been more of a snail mail kind of mail artist, so this a new approach for me. At some point I shall put some of my images on the site. Bonjour Mim! THANK YOU for your WELLCOME! This is really a coincidence -or isn't it? Yesterday, before reading about being accepted in/to/at the IUOMA, I decided to send a mail-artcard to you. Indeed, I "discovered" you(r blog) some days ago and I LIKED it VERY MUCH. This idea -AND REALISATION- of "minimal" mail-art has pleased me VERY MUCH. Naively, I tried to make a "minimal" mail-art envelope and discovered that it was not so easy! So, what you are going to receive is not esp. "minimal", but it is neither so "full-of-things" as I often finish doing! I rather are HAPPY with the one I send you.

Glad you like the work. The card comes from layered drawings.  I use source materials from anything that catches my eye.  This in part came from an old phrenology chart and various handstamps.  I draw/rub the image onto a base sheet, then overlay many layers of onionskin paper.  Each layer additional drawing to highlight and edit.  When finished the drawing is scanned and then printed onto various mailing labels which I wrap around old gallery invitation cards.  Pretty much it.
