I'm sorry to hear that you've been having computer problems! I hope that it can be fixed soon.

Speaking of music: your musical springtime card has arrived! The tulips are beautiful and that's a sweet song that I wasn't familiar with. Thank you!

we are doing some better today, altho' there is a little trouble over fires yet, so smoke's still a bit of an issue. no rain in the forecast. This may be our first such fire of the year, but I predict several others before end of summer. :(  So our asthmatic can't get out and about, not today. I'm weak, shaky, a little light headed, but should mend once I've gotten further rested. Just updated our group's blog, and am now catching up here.

Poor Japan. it breaks my heart to see such hard times befall their country. That part of the world (Pacific Rim territory) has been really hit hard, from Oceania north. I wonder what gives?

Donating next........

I just had an email from Jesse Glass a poet friend these last 30 years, he teaches expressive language in a Japanese Uni in Tokyo. They have power and water cuts and he reports buildings, bridges and pavements cracked. Japan has suffered a catastrophic event. More than 10,000 deaths. Complete communities eradicated. Infrastructure destroyed.

The only thing we can do at this juncture is to offer solace to our personal friends, let them know we are here if there is anthing that we can do. And that they are in our minds.

The answer is no.   I am not joining the group either Val,  the last thing the Japanese need right now is mail-art.  I have called my several friends in Japan and offered them my sympathy for their situation which they have accepted with Japanese grace.  They are aware the world is feeling for them.  To make a 'show' of our solidarity is, in my mind, definately not on.

Val,

Received the Worcester Souvenir Card Pack just now. It's wonderful. As is the hand-painted beach card from Revere, Massachusetts. I'm behind in my scanning but I'll post some choice views of the City of Organ Materials as soon as I can. Thanks again for the contest and prize. Your guy in Santa Fe. David

Hi Val:

Still sick, and with our Studio's HQ folk either down with same stuff or otherwise guarding their health from the smoky wildfires (2 of them right now, still burning), we won't have chances to get to our POBox and its stamps (a must-have!) for a few days yet. Please be patient. I have already processed yours, but it must have the appropriate postage attached, and must be double checked for weight before it is sent. :(  Had a lot of fun putting it together for you!

Anyway, hang in there. As soon as it goes out in the post, I'll be sure to update you.

Sorry for the wait. And thanks for being patient.

I am always meaning to send you this x10 sheet of the windmills that I found displayed in an old US Postage booklet. That is the 5 different windmills, iin twos, so that is how they get their "edges", I guess. US issue: February 1980 (that's my birthday Feb.7!)

The numbers are some type of registering with the USA issue?

Just stopping by to thank you, my boy, for the great STAMPS of the Queen! I do love your mail art sendings (hens and cocks!). And also for the Darlington ticket...ha! Fun! More US postage stamps are on the way to you. Agapi, Princess Kate xxx

You are a very interesting person. I am glad you understand. Haha @ moving to Europe. =)

They are like 40 cents a stamp, crazy crazy!

My friend does the same, he is on this website actually (Macron). Before he knew about mail art he would mail me canvases and other things just to see if they would get here. But I only live 30 miles from him, thats nothing campared to the thousands you live from me.

Hello.

I sent you some mailart....and it was sent back to me with the stamps canceled!!!

It made me very angry, stamps are not cheap. And I customized the envelope. When I get paid and can get more stamps I will attempt to email it, plus a piece of royalty themed art for the wedding.

Hi Val, the music on the side of the building is from Maurice Ravel's "Gaspard de la Nuit" but I have never tried to play it and am not familiar with the melody.  I do in fact know how to work a CD player, though I'm slowly building up courage to try an ipod. Cheers

Hey there guy. I will for sure send you something...I'm going to fill it out in the next few minutes and send it to you in a couple of days.

If I can find a good picture I may end up fulfilling your proper offer, but if I can't then...I couldn't fine anything.

The friendship thing-I add people that I like to trade with, some of them I know and talk with and some I do not. Since I keep a journal with the names and mail that I exchange with people, I don't use the friend function all that much. I think I'm going to create a video pretty soon that shows all of the things that I've receive so far, my materials, and the journal.

Anyway, say hello to France this late (for you) Saturday.

Val, you character! We are in the full production phases of a whole new look for the PPS blog. I have obligations I can't go into here. (That's outside of blog time.) The garden won't wait. The yard looks pathetic. The jolly jonquils may jump, but we are obliged to jump to so they can be looked after. We have correspondence to keep up with, projects both IUOMA and non-IUOMA to keep at, others to contact via our goal to expand the blog's readership. One of us is planning to move across country. That's within a matter of 2 months. Still, he's been ready for sweeping changes to his lifestyle already, enough to where we know he'll be glad to head for the coast after all. Meanwhile, his plate is full, as it were.

And you want one of us to "do the ironing"?

Hah! It is to laugh!

Tell you what. We could spare, oh, say, about 10 minutes to your household, so I guess the plane rides would pretty much cancel out our freedom to do you a favor even were any of us to sally forth into the great unknown (to most of us) French territory where you dwell.

Sorry! Guess you are out of luck in the indentured slavery department. :)
