Guido, I just received your piece in the mail yesterday, its fabulous! You sent quite the treasure trove! Things have changed yet stayed the same in Minnesota since you visited. I can honestly say that I love Minnesota (born and raised) hope you can make it back sometime. I am contributing a piece to "The Book of Ann" , what a great project. Will you post or publish some of the works you receive? Thank you so much for the art and watch the post for many returns!

Wanted to let you know how thrilled I was to receive your wonderful painted envelope.  I wanted to thank you with a piece of mail, but am working nonstop for the next couple of weeks on work orders -- I design and produce handmade greeting cards.  But, I will not forget to follow up at some point and thank you very much.

Happy viewing, Guido! Alas, I can't comment on your choice of films/movies as i haven't seen one for over 20 years. the last one i saw was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I read and write books and do other things but watch big or small screens. Regards, Val

I love the randomness-it's more intuitive to let the art come to you. I love dyeing paper AND fabric because the patterns emerge on their own. I'll be experimenting more with this as I hadn't thought of starting with wet paper. Would love to see a demo of this. I have a rather limited ink selection which is why I love tea/coffee dyeing. It can be hit or miss with me. Sometimes it comes out unexpectedly great and other times the color combos just don't work and it's back to the drawing board. Enjoy your day:)

Bonosir Guido! Sorry to hear about your hospitalisation, and hope that things go well for you on the 11th. Horror stories in hospital? That's weird, really weird. I mainly do sudokus when I'm hospitalised, and can check how well I'm doing by how goodly or badly I do at he wretched puzzles. And now...to open the envelope.

Best wishes, Val

Hi Guido - how wonderful! Thank you. For the explanation I will have to explore this further. It's almost like working with negative space. I lov e dyeing paper and playing with the patterns that form. Enjoy the week!
