Following up on Mim Young's comment - I too have been autocorrected to "Mom" which is pretty disconcerting for people who's mother's are no longer alive.
Hi Fike, your letter arrived in my mailbox today. I was thrilled. Thank you. I will get something together and send it off to you soon. The envelope was fabulous!
Hey new ol' friend! Thanks for the cool envelope full of your prints - love your work! And appreciated your note... yes, we have experience in common. Will be sending something soon!
Hello fellow Richey! I know very few of my own clan so I may or may not have an uncle K.A. Richey. We come from the Bartletts, like the pear people Thanks for welcoming me!
Sure, send me the cassette! Back in the 80s and 90s, I was a Dead Tour punk, and a lot of my friends communicated through BBS hosts. I preferred communicating in person and through the mails, by way of MRR, Flipside, Factsheet Five.
All that cool stuff, and those solid interactions you described make me pine for the pre-Windows 95 days. Fortunately, we can all share those memories here.
Hey Ficus! Surprisingly, I say shockingly, I am unfamiliar with everything you just mentioned, but I will certainly check them out! Good to see a bunch of old timers like us still stumbling around through the digital fog!
24.11.15 Dare Ficus s., ....it is of course not my place to make suggestions or requests for or from F.S., but I just saw Ms. Mailart Martha make reference here at the I.U.O.M.A. to " Carmen Miranda" & couldn't help but wonder what Ficus strangulensis might do with such a subject????... I just saw this past Sunday a spot on t .v. concerning Bananas. The statement was made that people in the U.S.A. eat more bananas than apples & oranges combined...don't think that I would have guessed that one. Ave uh nez dae. Richard Canard... Post Scriptum: Does that make us a "Banana Republic" as well???
