For just $1 at the Salvation Army op shop I picked up this "Become a Rainbow Unicorn" Adolescent starter pack...

It's got EVERYTHING:

• brush calligraphy, it says "TIME IS NOW"(sic)

What a BARGAIN! It's, like, 90% PERFECT.

On the El Nido resort I used to work, we had a cockatoo named Abukayno. It means "Cockatoo, No!" in Tagalog. Okay, so I guess we never really named it, beyond shouting at it to not do things. He was a free bird, loved to dunk his entire head into guests' wine glasses, fly off with their bacon at breakfast, and somewhere in the high craggy limestone karsts of the island he kept a collection of ladies' pearl and diamond earrings...
