Some people asked me where MomKat and I created mail art last month.

Here's the answer. When you stand in front of this building (my favourite building in Paris), and then turn to the right...

... behind that crowd, on the left from the bassin, you can see Momkat and Edmund already sitting waiting (I was late, as usual, this time due to making pictures of Parisian wildlife*),

In this Crêperie, there it happened. The first MomKat-Heleen Mail Art collaboration! Well, we've been working together before, with an add-and-pass-on of some collage stamp sheets for the TAM archieve, but that was at large distance. Here we were creating mail art, sitting cosy around the same table for hours. After enjoying a crêpe, and while having a tea (MomKat) and a coffee-with-milk (no sugar, me).
MomKat's tea proofed to be a good base for the water-soluable water colour.

Some results:

Edmund Hippo and Heleen...are "Orange Lovers!"

(and no flash on camera, cafe lighting was "warm orange")

Nice pictures, great memories :-)

Thank you for sharing, Katerina! Just one question... how come that we (especially Edmund and I) look so, er... Orange?

Good crepes and good mail art making :-)

April-in-Paris with the rain! Good times with Heleen (and Edmund):

Erni, it's also an existential observation on the state of French plumbing.

Wow, what is that funny building?  An oïl refinery or a water treatment plant?  Does it provide water for the fountain?

Happy to see some great work come out of Paris.  I noted the cafe for future référence of inspiration.  Isn't that the cafe with the winning rude waiter?  (We use to have a contest of who could find the cafe with the rudest waiter. It was great fun.)

Looking forward to my Sigean meet up with Val.  Who knows what might come out of there?  Likely something with lots of dots!

Thanks for the great blog, and for your information; It's still raining!

Kats: Have a safe trip back "Home".  There is Mail Art waiting for you!

Thanks for the nice blog, Heleen! Paris was a great meet-up, even in the rain.

Wish we had more time…a few days even, you all must plan to come to Greece :-)

I shall return to Thess. by this weekend, see you all soon in the mail too!

Thank you for your comments!

@ Val: yes, it's a good idea to skip the wine and take a cup of tea.  That's always good for the mail art; wine leaves such unmanagebale ugly spots when you use water colour.

@ Erni: That's the same dove! The poor creature had some toes amputated. Despite of this she managed to fly between Hamburg and Paris and vice versa within one week! Please give her extra grains if you happen to see her again.
