by David Stafford:

Slowly trying to catch up on blogging months' worth of most-worthy mail art, I briefly considered scanning "only" David's story and not the picture side of this card. Another glance at it, though, said: That hair is important to David. You know that. Flip it over and do the second scan.

The story makes it clear that this was the right decision. We have references to the fact that, miraculously, Tammy's "do remained, against all odds, completely spherical," even though she had just cannon-balled herself out of a tourist bus. And the setting sun "illuminated her bubblecut like a radioactive ball." This man really dreams, you know? I think that's a good thing, even though the hair fixation must make him feel a little out of it every other decade when the styles change. Fortunately, he knows better than to worry about such things.

By the way, your "bruised clouds" knocked my socks off. Thank you, David. ...

Ha, Svenja, yes--doesn't the U.S. postal system add great things to our stamps and mail art! ... We hope one day they will go back to simply canceling stamps.
