(I thought that title would make you look at this!)
Thanks to....
* Nico van Hoorn, for his postcards, one of which contains the instruction: 'Destroy this work and return it to...'. I'm still trying to work that one out, but will send a card or something back to Nico anyway
* Christine Jones, for her postcards and the Flood article. One of the cards, made by her friend Tricia Smout, a beautiful work of art, says "It is never too late to be what you might have been". This is similiar to one of my all-time favourite quotes by Jenny Holzer, "Protect me from what I want".
* Trica Smout: alas Tricia it is too late in my life, I think, for me to realise many of my earlier ambitions that include becoming a Porn Star, winning the Tour de France, and joining the Rolling Stones -- although not all at the same time, I should add.
* Rosanna Vernonesi, for her cards for my forthcoming Exhibitions. Jacques Prévert sends his thanks too
* Anete Ulmane, for a lovely postcard all the way from Latvia. That's at least 2 Latvians I now know (although one of them seems to be an Australian: Hi Viz!)
* Klaus Pinter, for 4 beautifully designed postcards. And the other day I had a Viennese Schnitzel. Wien, here I come!
* MomKat, for a postcard for the postcard exhibition, and two telephone-themed cards for the telephone box exhibition. Now, Dear Katerina, I can't promise that you'll get your own panel for the latter one. In fact, I'm beginning to worry that I won't be able to fit them all in.
* Mike Dickau, for yet another wonderful selection of stamps, collages, cartoons, and so on and so forth. keep on sending, Mike: thanks!
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!
Comment
Oh hi Val!
Suus: nope, she's never performed at Landgraaf (or Geleen). I put this collage together.
MomKat: string? interesting. I'm not sure what Eddy will let me to do to his phone box. He's spent a fortune on it, and had plans to make it into either a poolside shower or a mini-bar until I talked Annette into letting me use it as a mini mail art gallery. Watch this space, etc, for developments up to and including 14 June.
