Rust Never Sleeps and Nancy Bell Scott sends faded-blue minimal...and The Face of TIME!

Nancy's envelopes are always deep earth colors and rich with stampings,

both sides are wonderful to see and feel."Mail Art Works" :-)

Inside, Nancy sent a beauty from her "minimal" series, it is on faded blue paper.

Love it! And makes me "smile" when it is this way:

Other treasures inclosed:

Yellowed-with-age page and note, BLUE on flip side...heavenly! :

A colorfully dyed (blue spotted) tissue

AND

A most vintage clock face...TIME-stands-still! Elegant!

Oh, many, many thanks, Nancy...'love it all! xxx

Well, if one lives out in Arizona or New Mexico on a "ranch"...they could be "ranchy" ? hahaha

Very nice story about the ol' faded blue paper, Nancy. I very much appreciate it even more now.

Had some blue papers like that somewhere in my studio, too

...but who nows what happened to them, they were old left-overs from art supplies,

my first teaching years in Greece (1971!)

Oha, not sure what ranchy means, but of all the things come to mind, none seems immediately appealing, so we are in agreement, sir.

What a nice blog, Kat, I'm so glad you enjoyed the artifacts. Yah, the face of time--timeless face?! It's great you appreciate the faded paper, I love it. It's from ca. 45 yrs ago, an art paper pad my dad gave me for christmas one year.

Ah, Erni, time standing still. As you always rightly remind us, time waits for no one. Am seeing this every day! But oh dear, art on a high level when you prefer low. I probably strive for neither--what comes out comes out--but do have some pretty raunchy values that might not always show up in the art, haha. As you know, also, with rust but one example.

Thanks Kat!
