The latest from the Carbondale Duck. This one is way profound, kind of like a bacon double cheese half-pounder with extra jalapeno and strawberry jam. Richard, I don't believe for one second that your muse hangs out at the semi-golden arches. But I am puzzled about the three dots in the middle of your card. Is this Dada, Fluxus, or do my glasses need cleaning even more than usual. As always, I heart Richard Canard big-time!

26.08 .16 Dare Ms. Toni H., & Mister De Villo S., ...Oh, no, no, no. What you see is your own scholarship, contemplative powers & imagination at work. No "umlauts" (is that what that is?) involved. I think maybe wretched richard thought the "u" was sort of short in comparison to the other script & attempted to lengthen it--- but due to faulty eyesight etc, etc. ... but then "yes", .... even I managed to grasp the concept in elementary school that the dot business  was a symbolic way to illustrate missing words & or the passage of time...consequently it is a motif that I habitually call upon to communicate  a little something when "Nothing" else is there (For the most part, richard's so-called "poems" are about excuses for not actually presenting  the poem that was just announced). richard is naught but a clown & will periodically take a "short-cut" across campus on his way to some bar, football game or sophomoric folly. Thank you for your  attention & tolerance. Sincelery, Richard C.

Hmmmmm...there also appears to be a kind of umlaut above the "u" in "muse"--I am beginning to suspect some kind of code at work here.

Dare Toni Hanner, do you think Richard C is getting dotty? (Or is it "conceptual writing" such as Three Periods in Search of a Paragraph?)
