Received from Theresa Williams, USA--There is no Typical Weather

Theresa sent this terrific little trash book that is anything but trashy:

Theresa tells me this is her first trashbook--I can't even imagine what her future books will look like--this one is a stunner. Everything from the asemic writing to the Bacchante is like some instructional dance, some kind of revival. What holds this book together is Theresa's personality, and the impulse to put all this trash together and perceive it as a collection. There's a logic even to the images of the cattle, the birds, and the ribbon, like a group of people united on a tour bus, all going toward the same place.  Fantastic work, Theresa. Thank you.

Yes! Am so glad that someone has  seen the Pitmans shorthand... I learnt it way back when I had a rush to the brain and did a secretarial course. I put it in my Asemics #4 but no one commented.

There's Greek myth in them thar pages...the Lion knows! I especially like the monkey, too, it could have come from the South Africa Connection? You really made an amazing Trash Book, Theresa, with very exciting-to-see "shorthand" asemic writings!! Just beautiful! My humble "little" trash book is on its way to you, no monkey business though ;-)

Bifidus, is our Haptic President, should have this....great blog! And have to agree with others, the blogs are as fascinating as the art work posted. Super!

Nice one Bifidus! That lion cracks me up, I don't know why.

What a treat! Trash book yes. Also some fine ripped collage by Theresa, not unlike the work of the collage masters of Belgium. And Theresa has such a great eye for images. Nice one, Bifidus!

PS - Love the monkey especially.

They do, don't they? They often contain unexpected insights. I learn a lot from them, and read them all.

Ha, I mean how is it held together besides with Theresa's personality!

Beautiful book, really -- almost regular book is what I'm thinking, even with it's wonderful crookedness and unexpectedness. I love it. How is it held together? (Always want to know this for some reason, if you'll indulge me ...)
