I received some wonderful pieces from Matthew Stolte this month, including the above mixed media piece. Mixing some kind of prints/stamps in with my vispo has been one of my goals; so far they've been mostly separate. This has given me some ideas.

I also received the piece below:

I find this photograph of a vispo/visual piece fantastic. There is a way that a photograph of another piece somehow changes it by altering its context as not just an art object, but a photographed art object; this is something I've been reflecting on quite recently, especially after I discovered the asemic works of Marco Giovenale, which often includes not just asemic / vispo works presented specifically as photographs, with all the imperfections (or maybe I should say "marks", not imperfections) of photography in the foreground.
