New mail from the one and only Grigori Antonin to his devoted Marie Antonette :-))
A yellow envelope containing an A4 sheet which I will happily Pad and Ass on. And on the back of the envelope, Groot Suster (to me, every woman with blond hair in a comic = Groot Suster) is very much inspired by Mary. Now that's a twist! Usually it is rather the other way around. But very flattering, for sure! Good one Grigori.
I already knew that Grigori was a photographer, his Tokyo mail a while back contained a mysterious snapshot. Today he is sending me a couple of polaroids. Well, not exactly polaroids. A Zalopolaroid and a quasi-Zalopolaroid :-)) Could this be a reference to my failed Zalop card to him? NOT that I think that those are failed photos! Not in the least. I love experimental photography, and I think he captured exactly the essence of Zalop with those shots. In fact I will be posting them in the Zalop group, I think they will have much success.
Grigori, thank you for this great envelope, you will be hearing from Marie Antonette any day now.

And Zalopo (Zalop poetry). It can't be a coincidence.
I saw the 'roids, and those are real ones! Quite jealous now! He sends me and cp-sa the mustardy ones and keeps the good ones for Erni, pffff.
Oh yes I still remember the proud day when I got that TrashPo-Litzer Prize for Litter-ature.
OMG, Marie! Don't you get it? I just figured it out. Po-laroids. Like Vis-Po. Like Trash-Po. Like Sand-Po. My God, he has invented a movement.
Erni Baer also posted a blog of G-Man 'roids today. The people have spoken.
I have to do some research, but GA has done work with cereal boxes and related items, and early-on before Trashpo started rolling.
I know Erni would support the nomination. I don't know where the Queen of Trash will weigh in, but if the Landfill of Fame truly documents the history, then I think the proposal has to be put forth. You have wom a TrashPo-Litzer, Marie, remember?
Oh, I just saw the (non zalop) polaroids he sent to Erni and they are WAY better than those! Very unfair.
Samurai-G disappearing is surely a new trick from that rascal spell-spell-chick.
I just *KNEW* cp-sa would get some zalopolaroids! Yo yo, my psychic skills are still very much intact, I am relieved. Can't wait to see that!
DVS, that is an interesting point. Which TrashPo-Litzer Prize are you thinking of for him?
Marie, I think I know what this is all about. Grigori Antonin has launched this new wave of mail-art because he has been overlooked for the TrashPo-Litzer Prize. If you look back over the body of work, I think it is indeed true that he has made important contributions, especially to Cerealism. Shall I take this to the Trash People? It is very possible an injustice has been done.
They're an interesting color in the flesh - like mustard custard.
He has clearly launched another one of his mail-art blitzes.
GUESS who got the ZALOPOLAROID # 1's?? Yip, that would be me :-))) - post tomorrow - its getting DarXus here :-) X
