outgoing mail on February 29th 2016

It only is possible every 4 years; sending out mail-art on February 29th.

So don't put mail in the mailbox today, but tomorrow. We will see if the postal system brings us tyraces of the special day.

I know some mail-artists will ask for hand cancelled mail at the postal office. I rather like to see what the automized system will bring.

One-day-mail-delivery is advertised for domestic mail by the  Greek Post!

And it worked! I mailed to myself, yesterday, Feb.29, to get the "rare" postmark

and it arrived in the morning mail delivery today...yay!

Taking a huge stack of mail art tomorrow to the Greek postoffice to hopefully get

the "29 Feb 2016" postmark on the envelope. I may have to go to three different post offices

so as to to overwhelm the clerks (they won't agree to give me the rubber stamp so I could

do each and every one of the envelopes :-(

By the way, I wonder if it is possible at all, to have our mail hand cancelled in the Netherlands?

Wish we would have this possibility here; some countries - e.g. Japan - have beautiful postmarks.
