The wind has been bringing me fabulous things. Things that most of the time leave me speechless. It's true that mail between South Africa has proven to be anything but on the wings of the wind, but it is so worth the wait.
I didn't realize before scanning Cheryl's card and putting back and front side by side that the painting represents a woman's hair and part of her eyes. I wonder if there is another part of the painting flying on the wings of the wind, somewhere, for someone.
Taking a close look at it, I could appreciate the texture of the paper, the details of the painting, the wonderful stitches. But I think that looking at it from a distance reveals a whole different dimension of this piece. I'm not quite sure if the very "stylé" writing actually say "love is the best thing in the world"? For what I know, it might even be semi-asemic writing.
The wind is being so generous with me I can't believe it. This is not the only envelope from South Africa that I found in my mail box yesterday. Stay tuned for more extra-wow art!
Thank you Cheryl...
