Marie Wintzer "intention to wishing"

exquisite and delicate. beautiful and haunting.

Made with printed tissue paper and bound with threads tied in small knots.

Marie's poem is as follows:

"the sight of a reason,

the same sight slighter,

the sight of a simple

negative answer,

the same sore Sounder,

the intention to wishing,

the same splendor,

the same furniture."

my oh my. a graceful and bewitching boekie Marie. I love it. Thank you.

So beautiful.  Marie's work always whispers to me long after I've walked away from it.

Alicia, I know what you are talking about...at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago?

Years of bending and sweeping ....

The butterfly stamp was barely resting on the envelope holding on by a pinhead size of glue and fell to the floor when i brought it in. It is now back in its rightful place on the envelope.

The person sweeping the Ginko leaves reminded me of a very old woman who was sweeping the steps of a cathedral in Chicago. She was permanently bent over from her years of sweeping.

This is wonderful...poetic in images and execution right to the envelope with the butterfly, even!!

'Love it, Marie! Always a joy to see your art ! xxx

I'm glad you like the poem, Vizma, I can't take credit for it, it's from Tender Buttons (Gertrude Stein).

Can a whole poem be onomatopoeic? Cos this one is.

And he swept some ginkgo into his cup for tea break, good thinking! Beautiful, Marie.
