Somewhere I read a comment by Diane Keys that she does not like still lives with flowers and fruits and finds them boring. So when I received Diane's minimalistic postcard I thought of a special surprise. I went out and bought the ingredience to arrange a little still life especially for her. It is loaded with mail art related symbolism, such as BANANAS and TANGERINES.

I hope you like it! Thank you very much, Diane for the inspiration!

Diane, I like this. Is the text by Mark Twain, but who made the concrete poem? You may know this apple with worm by Reinhard Döhl, from 1965. Here it is translated into English. :-)

Hey, I found a cool reference to Goethe here on IUOMA by Henning Mittendorf.

"All artistic works are mixtures of found pieces, pictures, ideas etc., inclusive other people’s art work as a whole or in parts. Important is the fact that the mixture creates a new expression, shows a new aspect, view, gives new impulses."... see H. Mittendorf

LOL, yeah that's what I was picturing and then on my walk to the mailbox this morning right after typing that, I saw orange peels and a half eaten apple. I did think for a second to collect them and send you a photo, but I did not:) would love to see your portable photo studio on the trash heap-have a good weekend x x (X)
