Needed: a crowded pub on London Marathon Sunday, April 26, 2015,

and a great "parea" of mail artist friends,

and a few other interesting characters:

Lots of fun materials and papers and postcards..and a Brit Postbox pencil sharpener:

and a whole lot of round-the-table collab work! Everyone is busy cutting and gluing

and drawing and even a bit of watercolor work, too:

Great Scott :-)

Stripygoose concentrating and creating,

Mail Art Martha getting help from Edmund ...

Well, MomKat is taking the photos, duh. (but also added her BLUE to some)

...here are a few of  the results:

Thanks to Mail Art Martha, Stripygoose, Positively Postal,

and Andy and Elena...for an amazing mail art meet-up!

'Must do it again soon!

We had several meetings at the Morpeth Arms by now and they never ask a thing. People are not curious in England. I remeber the first time we put up a big tent in a camping site in France. Quite a different story.

Yay! another card arrived, thanks for letting us know, Phillip!

We were practically "unnoticed" in the pub on that Sunday, as it was

London Marathon day and the pub had announced that after they

finished the race, participants would get free beer or drinks. So it was packed

with coaches, teams, "road-runners"...all with their official tags, medals, etc.

Scott had arrived early and "occupied" the big round table in a far corner

so we were in a cozy spot "far-from-the-maddening crowd" and no one

minded that after we ate, we could stay and cut and paste for 4 hours!:-)

I'm interested to know if anyone in the pub asked what you were doing, or if you had any converts to mail art!

Mine arrived yesterday, sent by Mail Art Martha. Took 5 days, very impressive.

And even more impressive that the London Pub Collective thought to make me one - thank you so much.

Your moon fish is our angel fish Heleen, which makes it quite funny too. I don't know who sent me the stickers ages ago, came handy at last.

...oh, yes, and a birdie hoppin' over the Houses of Parliament !

There is another fish flying around...who got it? :-)

Mail Art Martha had all these tiny fish and smilie stickers...

is that not surrealistic: a moon-kissing moonfish?

So glad that the card arrived, Heleen,

'wish you could have been with us in London.

p.s. I love that Moon-kissing Moonfish! (That is, in Dutch we call him/her 'maanvis' = moon fish', the English name is different, but somehow one of you has been knowing this, consciously or unconsciously :-) )

Yay, happy! I received your mail art today!

Thank you very much, Katerina, Martha, Scott and StripyGoose!

I've also posted it there.
