Absolutely. Calligraphy = from the Greek Kallos, beauty + graphie (with a little thingy on the e, Katerina would know) writing. Beautiful writing, it's probably what both calligraphy and asemic writing are aiming at.

Right now I think I'm trying too hard to find a style, I should let it come to me.

Fantastic bookmark, Marie. I'm glad you're going to try some asemics. That should be very interesting. Some conversions arose today about Geof Huth's piece that didn't surface in the comment stream: the relation between asemics and calligraphy. Being sometimes not able to see the forest for the trees, I had not thought about the strong relationship between the two. So you have a number of possibilities in terms of how you approach it.
