This is the date Karen wrote on the back of the card, adding to the mystery of it. Maps, train time tables, red thread, black tape. Are they going to give me the answer to what happened on that day?
Thank you for sending, Karen, your great cards are always muchly appreciated!

Hi Bifidus and DVS. Karen's art is turning more and more mysterious these days. This is another piece of train schedule she has already used on another book to me. Maybe I should try to match them and see.

I think Karen is one of those old souls who's done some serious train hopping, and that's why she's so good.

This is mysterious indeed, and I love it! Karen is using black tape/red thread consistently in her recent work. I wonder what it means? In my book, she's my #1 favorite for achieving complex layering. I like maps in mail-art (especially yours CB) and this is also the first time I can remember KC using them. And the timetables! It suggests a narrative for sure. Masterful! This could be my fav KC work ever, and I'm a huge fan. Thanks for blogging this.
