I was amazed by Jay's French culture.  Not even most French people know about this phrase.  It's a quote from général Bonaparte aka Napoléon Ier (you know the guy that was scratching his belly while his picture was being painted).

Anyway this quote comes from The French Campaign in Egypt and Syria (1798–1801).  Napoléon said it after disembarking at Alexandria, Egypt. (Not Alexandria, Minnesota or Alexandria, Virginia as some people think.) 

Such a clever boy.  We're proud of you.
