Carina sent me a great little booklet in the form of a tiny letter which arrived in this envelope with a superb cold stamp.

Ice fishing from Finland! And of course, in true Posti style, the bottom half of the stamp has a special shape. The stamp celebrates 'Everyman's Rights' to enjoy nature.

Like the horse, this mailing has me smiling - thanks, Carina.

Hi, Carina. Your country always has such interesting stamps, I decided I needed to investigate this unusual one a little bit - without the words along the bottom of the ice I wouldn't have thought anything of it.

Oh, I haven't noticed the theme on this postage until now. Thanks for pointing that out, and thanks for the great blog Phillip! Enjoying our nordic tradition and right very much. :)
