Unbelievable!  I won't have believed this was possible if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.  Yes, those a are the cancelled postage stamps at the top.A Barcode Light, who would have guessed.  And it is filled with barcodes.  The address is written on the bottom of the lamp.  Those postal workers are talented! And once expanded it must be about 26cm (10 inches) long.  The people at the post office must have had fun with this one.  And what a surprise it was for me as well.  This one is for the extreme group.

Thank you Heleen, what a fantastic idea.   You wouldn't by chance have a new frying pan you don't need?

Ah that explains it.

Cheers!
The label was because of the needle and threat picture, as you also can create barcodes using needle and threat! But sending a real needle might have harmed the postal workers so I thought a cardboard one better.
Label must have been from a thermo shirt, used by the soccer player in da house who has to play through rain and snow and hail. If he wouldn't have used the shirt I of course would have added to the barcodes in the light.

So I'm starting to wonder if this might not be one of those magic lamps.  I started rubbing it and a puff of smoke appeared.  I looked inside and found this package of butter cookies.  I bet you're thinking, "he butter not eat them, they are part of the art work."

Well you may be correct, but I take this as a performance piece and dunked them in my afternoon tea, and down they went.  Cheers!

I am willing to bet that Heleen never thought that I would actually look through all the barcodes in the lamp.  But I did.  There were a few items that did not fall into the barcode theme.  For instances, these underwear tags.

But don't worry, being the gentleman I am, I'm not going to show the tag with the sizes.  This is just another example how dangerous Bar Code collecting can be.  As I always say; "Don't do this at home!"

Well you know what they say; "If the lamp fits, then mail it."  Odd-shaped indeed.  Now where did I put my old accordion?

By the way: I thought it an odd-shaped postcard/envelope:

That's not 100% correct what you're telling to MomKat, Dean. With therapy I wouldn't have been lightening up lifes, so I decided to never start therapy. Moreover: fact is that keeping on cutting out barcodes is therapeutical since I throw them away. Not into the thrash/recycling bin but instead I'm throwing/sending them to you. Hope the other persons in your place won't mind?

(btw MomKat seems to be infected: I received mail art with two stowaway barcodes in bottom of the envelope...)(Thank you, Katerina! I'll probably forward them to Dean.)

Yes Kats it was filled with Barcodes.  The  last I heard, Heleen was taking therapy classes to help her throw away barcodes, even though they are human.  I guess the therapy isn't working.  I hope she can get her money back and go somewhere else.
