Gracing my Mailbox: Mail Art Martha, Amy Irwen, and Claudia McGill

I received my first ever mail art from Mail Art Martha. She writes of this 'alcoholic trashpo'  "The evening at a cafe I asked th waiter for the capsule from the wine bottle. I had to explain why I wanted it and he understood so well that he brought me all the capsules he could collect wile we were there. A patron of the arts for sure!"The next piece is "sea worn leaflet with glass and tile pieces"  I LOVE beach glass and the composition of this trashpo is so soothing. Reminds me of Kat's pieces. She has added gold to both of these pieces she says as to say "Rubbish is as valuable as one cow as half a dead cow in a glass case." I've never heard that expression but I will be sure to interject that into the next conversation I have. Thank you thank you Martha--I love both of these pieces!!! I also received a fantastic fabric stitched quiltwork piece from Amy Irwen. I think I might have nearly begged for one, not really sure, but I am glad if I did. It's calming with the earth tones and even methodical stitching. I think it has some hypnotic powers. I was also thrilled to receive a piece from Claudia-who is working injured yet still creating these great abstract pieces. This one is sans the furniture people and no less interesting and powerful. I love her color combinations and I feel like Claudia creates with a huge sense of freedom. So interesting seeing everyone's different styles. Thank you all so much for sharing your talents with me.

LOL, glad your hand is better. It probably got sick of the other hand dominating and decided to revolt. I'm with you though, so if you're weird so am I. I think everything has some kind of consciousness. I name and talk to all of my plants. I feel guilty when one dies. I DO hate junk mail though and have no qualms about destroying it in any brutal way I can. This is all making me think of a short story by a surrealist writer named  Haruki Murakami called the Little Green Monster. This lady talks to a tree that becomes a huge monster. But she kills it in the end and I think she felt 100 percent justified.

A free fast! Again I miss out on the good stuff.

Dkult is having a free fast today from 2-5--there will be cookies served afterwards, for which everyone will be grateful. Vizma, all DKult activities went deeply underground after the failure of the trashut commune. Was that due to a zoning issue? or the fact that Dkulters wouldn't stop talking with those fake Australian accents? But don't worry, you are always protected, ID Kard or not, by Saint Waste, Holy Saint of Trashpoets and Garbage Enthusiasts

I need one of those I-D-Kards to get me safely home from restricted areas...are they still available? And valid in Oz? I feel as though I'm missing out on all the good stuff down here.

Vizma, we do not know how many PMMs were distributed when KDJ was active in DKult. PMMs are obviously dangerous, and if anyone received one, they should destroy it!

That PMM is a cracker! Secret alien technology!! I stand corrected and I'm ready to purge.

I'm with xx jones.

"alchemical reaction of cosmic proportions" is a keeper.

... creating an alchemical reaction of cosmic proportions, that's how I see it too

all research on the PMM were halted by snooky when he determined there was a security breach. For the time being, we are allowing DKulters to think for themselves in hopes that they will remain loyal. We have shipped out our first Holiday Meal order to KDJ--complete thanksgiving dinner freeze dried for your convenience. The faux turkey is made out of texturized vegetable protein. if you call the butterball alterative hotline they can give you more cooking instructions

Vizma, I think my views are the result of using the PMM (Personality Modulation Machine). I can remember things, but I'm convinced they are not my memories. PMMs aren't circulated any more.
