zweiblum - ice bears - series 1
Chaos defeats order because it is better organised.
Every tourist wishes to discover the typical and characteristic feautures of a landscape or region.
Following this principle, i wanted, as a photographer, to find the right motif, and, as a gourmet, i wanted to eat the appropriate food as well.
I a small corner pub in Ankh-Morpork i discovered "ice bear on the menue and i could not remember having eaten something like this before.
Chest could not remember such a food, either.
I boldly ordered it. The waiter brought a colorful plate, put it on the table in front of me and warningly said "Caution, it is very cold!"
I decided to take a picture of the food and let chest eat it, like many times before.
zweiblum - discworld - 2011
Zweiblum focuses on the detail in the big world of the small. There have always been two opposing ways of discovering the world. Some looked for the pattern in the big picture, others looked for this pattern in the microcosm of the small. Zweiblum is quiet, unobtrusive. As it looks at the moment, the artist leaves very few traces in art. The aesthetics of the small is his theme. With his view of the small, artificial, he addresses the topic of our time, food. "You are what you eat!" The beautiful thing about the ARTSURPRISE project is that it also identifies this art and gives it a space. The hyped ones later make it into the museum, carried by the creative nature of the many. Zweiblum is one of these many. Slowing down is the magic of photography. Be happy if you own one of these few works by Zweiblum.
