The door bell rang.  I opened the door and there was the postal lady with a mysterious tin box, and a postal calendar for me to "buy".  In France, your postal worker comes around this time of year to sell you a calendar.  I looked it up and it says we should give between 5 and 10 euros. (The postal worker buys them for 2 euros.)  I read that some elderly people give 50 euros.  (I guess this will be one way to know when I become elderly.)

On with the story.  The mysterious tin box had 7 euros ($10) of postage on it.  This gave me a good idea of who could have sent it.  Besides, it had a Harping Wolf on the front, so I just knew it must be from Erni.

Inside there was another tin box and a bear bag.

And inside the second tin box there was an art treasure.  The biscuits where eaten within ten minutes with my afternoon green tea.  The eight cents was put in my new Royal Mail letter box piggy bank. (Which we'll see tomorrow in a blog.)  And the rest went under my bed for safe keeping.

Thank you Erni.  I'm sure there is more to this than meets the eye.

Oh! In Seine got the bear-bag???

And very nice tin boxes, too? Ok, it's "Paris" and Frenchy :-)

But the Edmund Twins are sad:

they had "elpida" for that bear-bag :-(
